Junivere G. Voedisch


Junivere G. Voedisch, 88, of Springfield passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, October 11, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center-East High Campus.

She was born April 17, 1920 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert V. and Ruth M. (Grube) Scifers.

She graduated from the Wittenberg University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Junivere dedicated her life to teaching children and taught 42 years in the Springfield City School District beginning her career at Garfield Elementary and finished her career at Highlands Elementary in 1982. She held memberships in the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Teacher's Sorority.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda R. Voedisch; a niece, Melanie Shobe and nephew, Terry Shaffer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth (Grube) Scifers in 1990.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
