Dana G. "Dane" Venrick, 51, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008. He was born July 13, 1957 in Knoxville, Ohio, the son of Willis "Sonny" and Nancy Carol (Baker) Venrick.

Dane was a member of the Arms of Love.

Survivors include three children; Kelly Lynn Davis, Florida, Holly (Joshua) Plummer and Jamie Leigh (Zachary) Rutherford , Springfield, step children; Tara K. Lino and Joel (Stacey) Lino, Springfield, eight grandchildren; Courtney and Bayleigh Davis, Alex Rutherford, Gabriel and Malachi Plummer, Lilyana, Alissia and Kaiden Lino, his soul mate Joy Venrick, two sisters; Phyllis (Paul) Little, London, Ohio, and Beverly Sue (Panda) Powell, Springfield, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, special aunt Ruby Jones, and special friends Terry Russell and Stephanie Braggs.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in McConkey Cemetery.
