John R. Stapleton


John R. Stapleton, 79, a lifetime resident of Springfield died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in his home.

He was born August 2, 1928 the son of John J. Stapleton and Dorothy (Smith) Stapleton Ault.

Mr. Stapleton served in the United States Army of Occupation in Japan and retired from Navistar International. He was a member of Anthony Lodge #455 F.& A.M., Eagles #397, the Machinists Club and the Union Club.

He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law D. Maxine and John Colmery of Panama City, Florida; several nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial in Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg, Ohio.
