Joseph W. Smith


Joseph W. Smith, 64, of Jamestown, OH died at 6:43 p.m. Monday June 30, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus.

He was born Jan 24, 1944 in Gadsden, AL the son of Raymond A. and Mary P. (Lethcoe) Smith.

He retired in 1990 from Kenosha Auto Transport after twenty-five years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 654, F.O.E.#397, Moose Lodge, and Machinist Club.

Survivors include his wife Ronda S. of Jamestown, OH; two daughters, Cassey Marie Smith, Jamestown, OH, Mary Jo Smith, Springfield, OH; four brothers, Wayne Smith, Leroy Smith, Wallace Smith all of Steele, AL, Bobby Smith of GA.; sister, Shirley Foster, Lake Wales, FL; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Lynn Smith and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
