Johnie Ray Saddler


Johnie Ray Saddler, 77, of Springfield, passed away at 3:05 PM Monday, November 17, 2008 in Essex of Springfield. He was born April 4, 1931 in Rarden, Ohio, the son of John W. and Irene M. (Robinson) Saddler.

Johnie was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1031 and was the owner of J & R Printing.

Survivors include three children; Thomas L. (Debbie) Saddler, South Vienna, Stephen R. (Debbie) Saddler, Laurel, Maryland, Gayle , Springfield, grandchildren; Stephen R. Saddler and Vanessa Chavez and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Beverly A. Chavez, a son; John "Sonny" Saddler, two brothers; Roy and William Saddler, a sister Anna Mae Piatt and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. James Baldwin officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Plattsburg Cemetery.
