Harriet L. Stookey


Harriet L. Stookey, 90, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in Community Hospital.

She was born December 1, 1917 in Marietta, Ohio, the daughter of Curtis C. and Florence B. (Sturm) Mars. Harriet was a very artistic person. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Neil Chapter, was an avid bowler and had volunteered at Community Hospital. She had been employed at Robbins and Myers and at Wicks Lumber.

Survivors include one daughter; Suzi Clarkson, Springfield, two grandchildren; Kristyne Edwards, Springfield and Eric (Sheila) Clarkson, St. Paris, four great grandchildren; Jessica Clarkson, Daniel Clarkson, Abigail Folck and Kylie Edwards, and two great great grandchildren; Ashlyn and Maddix.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth A. Stookey, a sister; Dorothy Mars, a brother in law; Lloyd Clarkson and her parents.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
