Darroll D. Stroble


Darroll D. Stroble, 66, of Springfield passed away Sunday evening, September 30, 2007 in his residence.

He was born June 15, 1941 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Walter Stroble and Exlee (Selby) Stroble-Neeld.

Darroll retired from Navistar as a tool and die maker after 30 years of service. He enjoyed constructing model cars, boating, wood working and camping with his loving wife. Darroll will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his mother; devoted wife of 45 years, Lois (Mumma) Stroble of Springfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Luanna Stroble, Mark and Kathy Stroble and Kevin and LeeAnn Stroble all of Springfield; seven grandchildren, David and John Rust, Clinton Weeks, Ana Stroble, Justin Swinford, Ryan and Paige Stroble; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Carson Rust; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Wilma and David Wilson of Columbus, Ohio and Marjorie Rickier of Las Vegas, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews and his 24/7 dog, Sparky. He was preceded in death by his father; step-father, Tom Neeld and mother and father-in-law, Frances and Roy Mumma.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 5-7 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Julie Carmean officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Mausoleum.
