Dewyane Paul Staup, 53, formerly Park Layne, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Dayton, Ohio.

Dewyane was born February 11, 1957 in Chicago, IL the son of Paul and Dorothy (Hughes) Staup. Through out his life Dewyane was an active member of Abiding Christ Church, in Fairborn, OH, and Youth Leader at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, also of Fairborn, OH.

He is survived by his parents, Dorothy and Paul Staup; brothers, Tony, Darryl and David Staup; children, Jade, his wife Sarah Beth, Jeremiah Staup; grandchild, Julia Rose Staup and countless other friends and family members (Means).

Dewyane was an avid baseball fan and music lover. He also enjoyed meeting and talking to new people. Dewyane was a caring, selfless individual and always took time to help anyone in need.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
