Clara Mae (Halterman) Stancliff


Clara Mae (Halterman) Stancliff, 95, affectionately known as "Cammy", passed away Thursday December 27, 2007 in her home.

She was a daughter of Henry and Rebecca Halterman, the last surviving sibling of eleven children.

<> She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harmon and her daughter, Joan.

She is survived by her son, Harold (Virginia) Stancliff of Clifton and son-in-law, Richard P. Anderson of Newark, OH; 6 grandchildren, Richard C. (Kate) Anderson, Rebecca (Clay) Zeller, Melissa Anderson, Amy (Blake) Neu all of Newark, OH; Beverly (Victor) Norberg of Orlando, FL, and Jody Stancliff of Cincinnati, OH; 10 great-grand children, Adam Zeller, Nicholas Lange, Nathan Lange, Abigail Zeller, Jonathan Neu, Emily Anderson, Sydney Norberg, Paige Norberg, Ryan Norberg and Eric Norberg. Clara is also survived by close friends, Belle Bennington and Krista (Robert) Harding both of Clifton.

Clara was a founding member of the Old Timer's Club. She and Harmon were the founders of Old Clifton Days and Old Timer's Days. In 2005, Clara was crowned Queen of Old Timer's Days. She was a 50+ year member of Grange. Clara was actively involved in the Clifton Senior Citizens and Tuesday morning Bible study at the senior citizens center. She was a member of the Yellow Springs United Methodist Church. Her family and friends will miss her spunky spirit and kind heart.

Visitation will be held 6-8PM Wednesday January 2, 2008 in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home, Yellow Springs. Service will be held 11AM Thursday January 3, 2008 in the Yellow Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Hill and Rev. Arby Conn officiating. Burial to follow in Clifton Cemetery.
