Beverly Ann Sharp


Beverly Ann Sharp, 65, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Springfield Regional Medical Center-Fountain Avenue Campus, after an extended illness.

She was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 24, 1942, the daughter of Roger and Gail Sharp.

She retired in 1998, after a 30 year career, from the Clark County Department of Jobs and Family Services where she was a management analyst. After retirement, she was active as a mentor for area youth, as well as an avid supporter of her alma mater, The Ohio State University.

She is survived by sisters Kathy Whittington and Ardath (Richard) Dellapina, sister-in-law Trudy Sharp, aunt Beverly Barkenquast, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a devoted aunt to Kris Dellapina Bonner, Carrie Huston, Jennifer Whittington, Amy Whittington, Michael Dellapina, Timothy Dellapina, Gregory Sharp, Daniel Dellapina and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Sharp.

Her family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to her friends and care-givers A.J. Anderson and family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 10:30 A.M, conducted by Deacon Norman Horstman of St. Raphael Church. Interment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made, if desired, to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
