Ida L. Runyan


Ida L. Runyan, 82, of Springfield, died at 11:44 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 in Community Hospital.

She was born in Springfield on May 13, 1925 the daughter of Charles and Mary (Blazis) Urbin.

She retired from Ridgewood Nursing Center after many years of service. She was a volunteer for Mercy Medical Center and loved to fish and play cards.

Survivors include her two children and spouses, James (Nancy) Runyan, II and Claudia (Jack) Wood all of Springfield; three grandchildren, Melissa Riley, Joe Wood and Josh Runyan and 2 great grandchildren, Maddie and Chloe Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. in 2003 and her sister, Alice Crossley.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Fiorini officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice.
