Suzanna Prater


Suzanna Prater, 66, of Springfield, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 in her residence.

She was born January 31, 1941 in Greenup County, Kentucky the daughter of Thurman and Fannie (Stewart) Prince. Suzanna was one of this world's greatest mothers. She always put herself last. She touched many souls and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her friends and family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years Candy H. Prater, six children: Nonnie (Carson) Ewing, Springfield, Candy H. (Rhonda) Prater Jr., South Charleston, Robert (Alice) Prater, New Moorefield, Louise Prater, Wilma Prater and fiance Roger Callicoat, Christopher Prater and special friend Sandy all of Springfield, eleven loving grandchildren: Alicia, Harley, Alexis, Alona, Allen, Josh, Christina, Rebecca, Roger Jr., Allison and Robert, eight loving great grandchildren: Karley, Ayden, Gabriel, Justin, Breanna, Braden, Chloe, and Brendon, brothers: LeRoy, Johnnie, Larry and Bill, sisters: Ida, Katie, Mary, Bonnie, Judy, Myrtie and Eleanor and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Thurman Jr.

Friends may call in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
