Shirley J. Pience, 78, of Springfield, passed away Thursday June 28, 2007 in her residence.

She was born February 6, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Archie T. and Marjorie G. (Hursh) Agle. Shirley was a wife, mother, and a daughter.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 60 years John L. Pience, their children Roger D. (Karen) Pience, John P. (Teresa) Pience, Polly Jo (Frank) Costantini, and John E. (Missy) Henderson; a daughter-in-law Susan Pience; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; siblings Mary (Richard) Troxell, Phyllis (Floyd) Mitch, and John P. Agle and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 5pm to 7pm in THE JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN Funeral Home. The funeral ceremony will be held at 10am Tuesday in Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel, with Rev. Bill Kelly officiating. Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers,

Mr. Pience requests that contributions be made to Community Mercy Hospice and he would like to express his gratitude for their kindness and care.
