Ronald S. Patton


Ronald S. Patton, 65, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born June 25, 1941 in Springfield, the son of Ralph W. Patton and Martha J. (Davidson) Patton.

Ron was a 1959 graduate of Springfield High School. Ron attended The Ohio State University and Wittenberg University. He retired from Printco Inc. in 1995. For twenty-two years, Ron fought a long and courageous battle against cancer and its side effects. He loved spending time with family and friends. Ron enjoyed his work, movies and playing golf.

Ron is survived by his wife, Judy Oldham Patton, whom he married on January 15, 2006; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Beth (Finchum) Patton of Springfield; his mother; sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Jim Stanaway of Springfield; two grandchildren, Connor and Molly Patton; step-son, Rob Oldham; niece, Amanda Dolfi and her husband, Dave of Dublin, Ohio; great-niece, Brooke Dolfi; great-nephew, David Dolfi Jr.; and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; and his first wife, Dorothy M., to whom he was married for almost forty years.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Smith officiating.

Burial will be in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
