Mary Rosalyn "Rosie" Parker


Mary Rosalyn "Rosie" Parker, 74, of Venice, Florida, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007.

She was the daughter of Raymond Gamble and Virginia Boggs. Rosie was born March 22, 1933 in Piqua, Ohio.

Rosie was a homemaker who took great joy in caring for her family. She was of the Lutheran faith and was a graduate of Springfield High School class of 1950. Rosie and her husband Ben moved to Venice Florida from Springfield 13 years ago.

Rosie will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years Ben Parker, daughters Joni (Dennis) Sullivan of Springfield, Christine (Herb) Loveless of Ionia, Michigan, and Peggy (Tim) Moorman of Springfield; a son Ben (Debbie) Parker of South Vienna, Ohio; brothers, Paul (Kathy) Gamble of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and Carl (Cathy) Gamble of Fairborn, Ohio, 12 grand children and 3 great grand children.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 PM Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. A Memorial service in celebration of Rosie's life will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Roger A. Herrig officiating. Private interment services will be held in Rose Hill Burial Park.
