Frank Elwood Pierson Sr.


Frank Elwood Pierson Sr., 67, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 16, 2008 in his residence.

He was born on August 31, 1940 in Springfield the son of Charles and Eugenia (Johnson) Pierson.

Frank was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Cuban Crisis. He worked at Speco for thirty years and Electric Eel for five retiring due to health reasons. He was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for three years.

He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Lavinia, children, Angela and partner Lynda of Fairborn, Lisa of Indiana, Sarah (Russ) of Alabama, Frank Jr. (Carla) of Kansas, Danny of Indiana, grandchildren Amy, Kelcy, Kali Sue, Jordyn, Aiden, Joshua, Kyle, great grandsons Dylon, Lane, and Riley and one great grandchild soon to be, brothers Raymond (Betty), and Paul (Jeri).

He was preceded in death by parents, siblings Ada, and George Robert.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10:30 am in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in the Dayton National Cemetery.
