Edward Pressnell


Edward Pressnell, 64, of Waynesville, Ohio went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, November 6, 2008 leaving a myriad of family and friends.

He was born February 28, 1944 in Tazewell, Tennessee, the son of William and Eva (Poore) Pressnell.

Family members include his beloved wife of 17 years, Carrie (Bayes) Pressnell; a daughter, Amy (Scott) Schaefer of Springfield; step-daughter and her husband, Cherie Bayes and Dale Edwards of Waynesville; three brothers, Lenard (Nancy) Pressnell of Columbus, Ohio; Roy (Tammy) Pressnell of Springfield and Jerry Pressnell of Greenwood, Indiana; two sisters, Mary Mink of Powell, Tennessee and Leola Justice of Springfield; three grandchildren, Allison and Courtney Schaefer and Steve Edwards; two sisters-in-law, Effie and Dorothy Pressnell and several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Vickie Sharpe and Carolyn Bates.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arthur, Alex and Richard Pressnell and sisters, Erma June Pressnell and Naomi Widner and sister-in-law, Donna Pressnell.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

A special service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday evening in the funeral home by the K of P Lodge of which Ed was a lifetime member.

Ed attended the CrossView Christian Church and was an avid bowler, golfer, hiker and a member of the MENSA. He was employed by Northstar Aerospace in Anderson, Indiana and a 27 year member of AA. Ed touched many hearts and souls and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the CrossView Christian Church in Waynesville, 4237 Social Row Road, Waynesville, Ohio 45068 with Randy Snyder officiating.

Burial will follow in the Miami Corwin Cemetery in Waynesville.
