Eva K. Raster Pierce


Eva K. Raster Pierce, 90, of Springfield, died at 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in Community Hospital.

She was born in Springfield on June 9, 1918 the daughter of Peter and Cora (Ustler) Jung.

She had been employed as a cashier at Big Bear for a number of years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a former member of the Women's Town Club.

Survivors include her two daughters and spouses, Susan & Lloyd Crabbe, Bowling Green, Kentucky and Sally & Rick Downs, Springfield; one stepdaughter, Patricia Rickert, Maybank, Texas; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Raster in 1963 and her second husband, Asa F. Peirce in 1991.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
