Carol P. Parsons


Carol P. Parsons, 84, of New Carlisle, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday November 19, 2008 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 18, 1924 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Clarence & Evelina (Frantz) Flora.

She was a member of The Chapel, Akron, Ohio. She retired after 30 years of teaching at Stebbins High School, Dayton, where she taught History. Carol and her husband had a passion for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, LuAnn and her husband Chuck Siemon of New Carlisle; two grandsons, Matthew & Sara Siemon, Luke & Pam Siemon; seven great grandchildren; step children, Margie & David Jones, Sally & Jim Paul, Jim Parsons; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; a brother, Talbert Ted & Dottie Flora; sister-in-law, Ruth Flora; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Parsons; granddaughter, Christy Breedlove; step daughter, Debbie Parsons; and a brother, George Flora.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday November 23, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Dale Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow in Medway Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cincinnati Hope Lodge, 2806 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
