Sadie Helen McNeice


Sadie Helen McNeice, 86, of Springfield, Ohio and formerly of North Braddock, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday afternoon, December 12, 2007 in Eaglewood Village Care Center where she had lived for the past seven years. She was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania on November 17, 1921 the daughter of the late Robert and Sarah (McManus) Anderson.

Before moving to Springfield ten years ago, she had been a member of McMasters United Methodist Church, Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ken Puhala of Springfield; three grandsons, Scott (Lori) Puhala of Enon, Ohio, Kevin (Regina) Puhala of Springboro, Ohio, and Eric (Angela) Puhala of Portland, Oregon; six great grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler Ann, Violet, Nicholas, Damian, and Ayla; a sister-in-law, Ruth "Bootie" Redshaw of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McNeice in 1989; three sisters, Ivie Renshaw, Daisy Foster and Catherine Green; and a brother, Roy Anderson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Julie Carmean officiating. A graveside service will be in Braddock Cemetery, North Braddock, Pennsylvania on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sue Calhoon of McMasters U.M.C. officiating.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff at Eaglewood Village (Rose Hall) for the dedicated care which they gave to Helen.
