Lois E. Sharp McIntire


Lois E. Sharp McIntire, 89, of Springfield, was welcomed home by the Lord and Savior on Monday morning, December 8, 2008. She was born on February 28, 1919, the daughter of Martin W. and Nellie D. (Buroker) Moore, in Millerstown, Ohio.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many. She loved serving her Lord, family, and her church. She attended Maiden Lane Church of God for 54 years, and served in many capacities: Children's Sunday School teacher, Missionary groups, Shut-In Visitation Coordinator, plus various committees and service opportunities. Lois will be greatly missed by her family.

Survivors include son; Marty (Janis) Sharp of Springfield; grandchildren, Andy (Andrea) Sharp of Richmond, VA, Marlo (Terry) Fox of Springfield, Alison (Gary) Dugan of Springfield, and Ronnie Sharp of Port Richey, FL; great-grandchildren, Mina and Vincent Sharp of Richmond, VA; and one brother, Millard (Lucille) Moore of Mesa, AZ; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Sharp to Cystic Fibrosis in 1978, husband, Delphus Sharp in 1982, and 2nd husband, Lawrence McIntire in 1986. Also, one brother and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or to Maiden Lane Church of God, Springfield, Ohio.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday December 11, 2008 at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, Springfield. A celebration of Lois' life will be held on Friday December 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Maiden Lane Church of God with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family is being served by the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle.
