Kathryn Moore


Kathryn Moore, 86, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008. She was born September 6, 1921 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of the late Leo and Armeda (Winans) Straughen.

Katie is survived by her husband, Richard; six children, Jon (Kandace) Moore, Eileen (Richard) Pape, Frances (Robert) Frank, Robert Moore, Gary (Brenda) Moore, Ramona Rench, and a sister, Marie Moberg; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 7-9 PM on Monday, September 1, 2008, at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM with visitation one hour prior, Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 476 N. Scott St., New Carlisle, Ohio 45344 with Father Michael Bidwell celebrant. Burial will take place at the New Carlisle Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 124 N. Jefferson St., Dayton, OH 45402.
