J. Patrick Mullen


J. Patrick Mullen, 61, of Springfield, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008, in his residence. He was born in Springfield on March 26, 1947 the son of James F. and Mary F. (Toddie) Mullen.

He worked as a machinist for Honeywell International, Inc., Urbana, Ohio and prior to that had been with Miller Engine and Machine and ITT Jabsco.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Susan (Matlack); two sons, Brian Patrick Mullen and Christopher Michael Mullen; two sisters and spouses, Mary and Doug Clark and Marty and Clarence "Bud" Light; three brothers and spouses, Peter and Chris Mullen, Todd and Jeannie Mullen and Joseph and Cathy Mullen all of Springfield and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Conroy Funeral Home with Fr. Dennis Caylor officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
