Edna (Lafferty) McVey


Edna (Lafferty) McVey, 92 of Springfield, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2007 in Heartland of Springfield. She was born on February 19, 1915 in Greenfield, Ohio the daughter of George and Marie (Bales) Lafferty.

She was a member of the Women of Moose #429, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 397, the VFW Post 8667, AMVETS, and the American Legion. Edna retired from Ohio Thermometer after over thirty years of service.

She is survived by her sister, Bernice Delong of Springfield, long time dear friend, Mabel (Boggs) Keifer of Springfield, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William McVey, three sisters: Dorothy Barkley, Rita Hamilton, and Thelma York, and three brothers: Henry, Harvey, and Donald Lafferty.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 12 - 2:00 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, with the service to begin at 2:00pm with Mr. John Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
