Daniel L. Mitchell


Daniel L. Mitchell, 59, of Springfield died June 1, 2007 in Community Hospital.

He was born September 21, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Paul and Leah (Bane) Mitchell.

Dan worked as the Engineering Manufacturing Coordinator for Navistar and retired after thirty-six years. He was a member of the Local 658 and volunteered his time with Box 27.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Martin) Mitchell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and James Heider of Hilliard, Heather and Brett Whitacre of Springfield; three grandchildren, Emily and Abbey Heider and Gavin Whitacre.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, with Box 27 Members and Firefighters Turnout at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 with Pastor Daniel M. Powell of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
