Connie S. Macbeth


Connie S. "Mammy" Macbeth, 64, of Springfield received her angel wings at 4:19 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus following a brief illness. At the time of her death, as in life, she was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Springfield, OH on May 20, 1944 to the late Ralph L. and Wilma D. (Nesselrotte) Schemel. She retired in 1998 as office manager for Jo Denney Realty after twenty-two years of service. She was an avid golfer at Locust Hills for many years, playing in the Wednesday night ladies league and also the Sunday afternoon couples league.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of forty-one years Allan W. "Butch" Macbeth, two children and spouses, Kelly S. and Michael Cain, South Charleston, OH, Scott A. and Candace F. Macbeth, Beavercreek, OH. The lights of her life were her seven grandchildren Nicole, Travis, Michaela and Hailee Cain, Jessica, Emily and Katherine Macbeth. She also leaves behind two brothers and a sister-in-law Ralph A. Schemel, Rose, OK, Kenneth and Lynette Schemel, Manning, SC and several nieces and nephews.

Her kindness and love will remain with many people that were special to her, including longtime friends, Dana and Connie Andrews and Steve and Denise Federle. Connie was known for her love of life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held at the home of her daughter, Friday, September 26, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by the Conroy Funeral Home.
