Sadie E. Jeffrey


Sadie E. Jeffrey, 89, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 in Mercy St. John Center.

She was born April 3, 1918 in Springfield, Ohio a daughter of Elias H. and Clara (Smith) Lowery. Sadie was married to John Jeffrey.

She was a cook at Antioch University and retired after many years of service. Mrs. Jeffrey leaves to cherish her memory one sister; Evelyn M. Lowery Grambrell of Colton, California, several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a good friend; Emma J. Hood. Sadie was a member of New North Street AME Church and served on the Usher Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; John Jeffrey, a sister and brother-in-law; Alberta and James Taylor and a brother; James Lowery. Sadie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 2 p.m. at New North Street AME Church, 901 S. Center Street, Springfield, Ohio with Rev. Christopher Ferguson Sr. officiating. Arrangements by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
