Jane E. Johns


Jane E. Johns, 88, of Springfield passed away on Friday, February 15, 2008 in the Ohio Masonic Home.

She was born on June 25, 1919 in Springfield the daughter of Oscar and Bertha (Schneider) Bailer.

She owned and operated along with her husband W.P. Johns, Dad's Hamburger on West Main St., which closed in the 1970's. Mrs. Johns was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Sue Vollmer of Springfield, nephew and niece, Steve and Pat Mumma, great nephew, Jeff Mumma and his wife, Tia, great niece, Cindy Hillard and her husband Dave, and several great-great nieces and nephews, and step daughter, Judy Thompson of Sidney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Mumma, and one step daughter Diane Wright.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Weatherman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the time of service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to German Township Fire and EMS.

Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
