Elizabeth Johnson


Elizabeth Johnson, of Springfield, passed away at 8:30 AM Saturday May 24, 2008 in Mercy-St. John Center.

She was born April 25, 1921 in Springfield, Ohio a daughter of Daniel and Irene (Wilson) Stevens.

Mrs. Johnson was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was active in many church organizations. She loved her family and enjoyed special times with them.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted son and two daughters-in-law, John H. and Louise Johnson of Ft. Washington, Maryland and Lydia Johnson of New Orleans, Louisiana, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.

Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be Saturday from 9 to 10 AM in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday in the church with Rev. Carl Hutchins officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
