Marjorie A. Hatten


Marjorie A. Hatten, 84, of Springfield died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in Oakwood Village.

She was born in Jackson, Ohio on April 15, 1923, the daughter of David Scott and Grace Imo (McGinnis) Hutchison.

Marjorie was a hard working homemaker and enjoyed just being around her family. She was a member of Hillside Ave Church of God, where she was active in the Missionary Society and the Federal Retirees Club. Marjorie volunteered at Elderly United, Kuss Auditorium, and Community Hospital. Because she was such a people person, she enjoyed her stay at Oakwood Village, meeting new friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Viola Wickline; granddaughter Marsa Hatten; two brothers Albert & Loren Hutchison; two step sisters Jean Johnson & Louise Skidmore; and her husband Dale F. Hatten.

Survivors include four children Janice Booghier of Springfield; Gary Hatten of Kettering, Richard & Carol Hatten of Conway, Ark., and Jack & Debra Hatten of Wilmington; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 1:00 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions are requested to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or Hillside Ave Church of God.
