Maxine J. "Kitty" Hart


Maxine J. "Kitty" Hart, 84, of Springfield passed away on May 11, 2007 in her home.

She was born on October 4, 1922 in Wellston, Ohio the daughter of Squire and Leora (Souder) Johnson. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1940. During her life she worked at International Harvester and retired from C. E. Bauer Company. She was a member of the Abiding Christ Lutheran Church of Fairborn and said she was blessed to have such a loving church family.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Hart of sixty-six years, son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Mary Ann Hart of Springfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and John Barsala of Las Vegas, Nevada; Luanne and Dave Rumer of Durant, Oklahoma. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven and a half great grandchildren. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ivan Johnson; two sisters, Eileen "Toodles" Woolley and Jeannette Ware.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, May 14, 2007 from 5-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am with Pastor Craig Foreman officiating. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Abiding Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund, 326 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, OH 45324.
