Julia E. Hieatt


Julia E. Hieatt, 90, of Springfield, went to be with her Lord, Friday morning, December 5, 2008 in Villa Springfield following several years of failing health.

She was born in East Palestine, Ohio on September 10, 1918 the daughter of the late Carl Wayne and Katherine Sarah (Miller) Zimmerman.

Julia was a member of Southgate Baptist Church where she served in the nursery for over 25 years.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Allen J. Hieatt; five children and spouses, Sylvia Seitz of Springfield, Ralph and Leslie Anderson of Columbus, Anita Gilliam of Springfield, Randi and Dr. Dan Bailey of Troy, and Mark Hieatt of Springfield; three sisters, Eileen Wilsted of Techachapi, California and Carolyn "Cardy" McCombs and Mildred "Mickey" Ginther both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three brothers, Lewis Zimmerman of Orlando, Florida, Kenneth (Stephanie) Zimmerman of Columbus and Dr. David (Mary) Zimmerman of Keystone Heights, Florida; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Julia's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Kirk Heldreth officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
