June Haskins


June Haskins, 87 of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Hospital, Fountain Campus.

She was born on May 23, 1920 the daughter of Fred and Edith (Schneider) Dick.

She attended the Newson Missionary Church and worked many years for Canteen Food Service at International Harvester. She also enjoyed her friends at Wings of Love Bingo.

June is survived by four sisters and three brothers-in-law: Daisy Hiltibran of Springfield; Shirley and Ernest Kimmey of Colorado; Pat and Richard Mader of Florida; and Joyce and Gene Mader of Springfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul and Roxanna Dick of New Carlisle, Robert and Sharon Dick of Indiana, and Ronald and Fern Dick of California; sister-in-law, Nancy Dick of Ripley, special cousins, Larry and Barbara Raugh, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousin, and special friends Ron and Mary Keplinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bert Haskins, and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Dick.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00pm in the Newson Missionary Church, 9310 Cow Path Rd. A lunch will be held immediately following the service at the church. Private burial will be held in Vale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
