Charles E. Hamilton, Sr.


Charles E. Hamilton, Sr., 85, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday April 11, 2008.

He was born December 18, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late George & Delilah (Ireland) Hamilton.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was the owner of C.E. Hamilton Well Drilling.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna; two sons, Steven (Debra) Shaffer of Dayton, Charles, Jr. (Shirley) Hamilton of New Carlisle; four daughters, Patricia (Bill) Frappier of Jonesboro, Maine, Joyce (Jerry) Moore of Tipp City, Ohio, Barbara (Ron) Craig of Union, Ohio, Kathy (Bill) Collins of New Carlisle; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Florence (Whitey) O'Neal of California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday April 14, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
