Betty L. Hoopingarner


Betty L. Hoopingarner, 87, of Springfield died Sunday, November 9, 2008 in the Pathways Center of the Ohio Masonic Community.

She was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 28, 1921, the daughter of Raphael Joseph and Fern S. (Stowe) Norton.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister Jane Stapleton; and husband Russell R. Hoopingarner.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law Deborah (Norman) Cass of Centerville; two grandsons and granddaughter in law Christopher Cass and Chad (Rachel) Cass of Cincinnati; one great grandson Garrett Cass of Cincinnati; one niece Sondra Rowe of Arlington, TX.

Memorial services will be Wednesday at 4:00 pm in the Ohio Masonic Home Chapel with Chaplain Bruce H. Vincent officiating. Inurnment will be in Ferncliff Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tuition Assistance Fund for the Archbishop Moeller High School 9001 Montgomery Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45242. A reception for family and friends will be held following the memorial service at the Marriott Courtyard downtown Springfield.
