Gleneva I. Gibson


Gleneva I. Gibson, 91, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Monday April 28, 2008 at the home where she was born, October 2, 1916.

She was the daughter of the late John & Lura (Flory) Lane.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Erald B. Gibson; three brothers, Galen, Roy and Richard Lane.

Gleneva was a lifetime member of the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Ohio State Parents Assoc. of Clark County and was honored in September 2007 for 45 years of service. She dedicated her life to the loving care of her family.

She is survived by her children, Saundra (Gerald) Harley of Batavia, Ohio, Karen Gibson of New Carlisle, Beverly (Thomas) Smith of Dayton, Ohio, Douglas (Cheryl) Gibson of Tipp City, Ohio, Steven (Melinda) Gibson of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Shawn (Susan) Harley, Lisa (Duke) Duncanson, Michael (Susan) Smith, Aaron Smith, Andrew Gibson, Daniel Gibson, Megan Gibson, Brooke Gibson, Annelise Gibson; great grandchildren, Rachel Duncanson, Tyler Duncanson, Austin Duncanson, Dyelan Youngblood, Javin Youngblood; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday May 1, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren with Dr. Andrew J.O. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Carlisle Church of the Brethren, 219 N. Main St., New Carlisle, Ohio 45344.
