Allen L. Garman


Allen L. Garman, 75, of Springfield, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus. He was born February 13, 1933 in Clermont County, Ohio to Russell and Alma Garman.

He retired in 1985 as a paint inspector for International Harvester after 30 years of service. He also served many years as a Special Deputy and later as a full time Sheriff Deputy. Allen was a United States Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War.

Survivors include one son and spouse, Russell A. & Mary Lisa Garman, Springfield; two grandsons, Michael and Joseph Garman; good friend, Ruth Droll and many caring neighbors and longtime friends at the Sheriff's Department and Prosecutors Office.

His wife, Patricia, preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
