Sadie Deards


She was born on Sept. 2, 1922 in Pike County Kentucky to Joseph and Molly (Hatfield) Collins.

She worked several years for Cook's United until retiring from there at the age of 62.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edward and son Douglas. Survivors include two sons, Roger & Anne Deards of Urbana and Edward Jr. and Jerri Deards of Wilmington, one daughter Mary and Ted Wallen of Urbana, 14 Grandchildren: Deona Fuson, Donovan Deards, Dilya Gain, Dakota Deards, Dustin Deards, Destiny Deards, Roger Deards Jr, Christopher Deards, Brooklyn Radlowski, Tara Summers, Michelle Wallen, Elisha Gilley, Ryan Deards and Erin Deards; 11 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.

Family and friends may call at the JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN Funeral Home on Friday, June 15 from 1p.m. to 2p.m. with the funeral immediately following. Burial will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery.
