Pauline C. Downey


Pauline C. Downey, 92, of Arkansas and formerly of Springfield, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 in Arkansas.

She was born June 9, 1914 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of John C. and Lillie M. (Wisecupp) Cooper.

She was formerly employed by Crowell-Collier Publishing and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Pauline is survived by one daughter, Frances J. Thomas of Arkansas; three step-daughters, Laraine S. Davis, Sandra M. McCabe and Rose Blevins, all of Springfield; twenty grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Downey; two grandsons; and three children, Irene, Leroy and Eugene Kennedy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, April 20, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will follow at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio.
