Joseph D. Diehl


Joseph D. "Bud" Diehl, 81, of Springfield, passed away at 3:10 PM Monday, June 2, 2008 in his residence.

He was born June 15, 1926 in Springfield, the son of John W. and Maude ( Williams) Diehl.

Mr. Diehl was a retired mechanic and had worked at Trenor Motors.

Survivors include one son; William K. Diehl, Springfield, one daughter; Debbie E. Thomas, Urbana, grandchildren; Lora Adams, Shannon Haynes, Kim Scott, John, Jason, Jamie, Joe and Angel Diehl, Ian Grove and Jackie Alexander, several great grandchildren, one brother Jack Diehl, Dayton and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Betty K. Diehl, three children Sharon Adams, Danny and John Diehl, and three brothers; Robert, James and Jay.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
