Frances Victoria Hoke Doenges


Frances Victoria Hoke Doenges, age 100, went to heaven to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2008.

She was born December 16, 1907 in New Carlisle, Ohio to Harry B. & Ida May (Walter) Hoke.

She was an educator for 26 years, a loving mother, wife and faithful friend to everyone she knew. She and her late husband, William F. lived in Hamilton, Ohio for 45 years before returning to live in New Carlisle in 1989. She is a member of the New Carlisle Nazarene Church. Frances was an active member and prayer warrior that witnessed to God's saving and sanctifying power and love to everyone she met.

Mrs. Doenges was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Fredrick Doenges, her sister, Mary Esther Hoke and her brother Samuel Aaron Hoke both of New Carlisle.

She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Evelyn House of Howell, Michigan and Naomi Virginia Hoke of New Carlisle. Children, John W. and Mariellen of New Carlisle, Ruth and Louis Qussar of Littleton, Colorado, James D. and Carol of Kankakee, Illinois, and Stephen Hoke and Dr. Karen Doenges of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She has eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday February 21, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the New Carlisle Nazarene Church, 477 N. Scott St. with Rev. David Perry officiating. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideon's International or Hospice of Dayton.
