David W. Dillard


David W."Dude" Dillard, 71, of South Vienna, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, Monday June 23, 2008 in Illinois, with his faithful dog, Sir Windsor by his side.

He was born September 21, 1936, a son of Clifford Worley and Edith Pearl (Huff) Dillard in South Vienna, OH.

David's greatest loves in life, were his family and farm.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Charlotte Dillard; children, Charlene and Greg Nixon, Caren Dillard and Cindy and Chris Lockwood; three grandchildren and most precious joys of his life, Caleb William Dillard, Jadyn Makenzi Lockwood, and Jye David Lockwood; brother, John (Zelma) Dillard; numerous nieces and nephews, to which two of whom he was especially close to, Steve Dillard and Ron Dillard.

Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Friday June 27, 2008 in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home, where service will be held 10AM Saturday June 28, 2008 with Pastor Steve Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt.Sterling, OH.
