Charles D. Day


Charles D. Day, 79, of Enon went home to be with the Lord, the One that died for him on the cross, December 27, 2007.

He was born September 10, 1928 a son of John and Goldie (Wilson) Day in Springfield, OH.

He attended Clark state in police officer training. Chuck retired from Robinson & Myers where he worked in the stock room. He also worked as a police officer in North Hampton and Moore's Paint & Body. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife Judith Day; daughters, Connie (Larry) Sagraves, Barbara Jean (Jack) Cox; grandchildren, Hope, Craig( K.D.), Clinton, Angie, Amie (Dan), Adrian; step-grandchildren, Scott, Amy, Ty; great-grandchildren, Halee, Brian, Brendan, Madison, Baby Morgan; five step great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Ferguson of Jasper, TX, Virginia Hynes of Springfield, OH; brothers, Tom Day, Frank Day both of Springfield and Truman (Harry) Day of Kilbuck, OH.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob and Morgan Day; sisters, Mary Bendenmire and Nellie Bowers.

Visitation will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm Wednesday January 2, 2008 in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home. Service to be held 11am with one hour prior viewing, Thursday January 3, 2008 in First Church of the Nazarene, E. Home Rd., Springfield, OH with pastor Keith Sarver officiating. Interment to follow in Enon Cemetery.

Memorial contribution in memory of Charles Day may be made to First Church of the Nazarene.
