Ronald Neal Culbertson

Ronald Neal Culbertson, life-long resident of Clark County, died at his home suddenly on November 8, 2018 at the age of 63, losing his battle with heart disease. Ron was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 1, 1955 to Lajoie and Jack Culbertson.

Ron is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Lacy) Culbertson; his children, Wyatt (Liz) Culbertson of Powell, Ohio; Laura (Josh) Rich of Grove City, Ohio; and Kelly (Jim) McKee of Mary Esther, Florida; his mother Lajoie and his 5 siblings: Carol, David, Nancy, Barbara and Roger. Also surviving are his five beloved grandchildren, Maddox, Jimmy, Clara, Jack and Owen. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack.

Ron was 100% all in with anything that he did from building fine furniture to complete house renovations. He devoted countless hours to teaching home remodeling skills to his children. If you stop by Wyatt’s house you can’t miss the living room full of Ron’s creations. At Kelly’s, look for the cabinets and blackboard that her kids enjoy every day. And Laura and her Dad recently finished her house remodel (the kitchen and bathroom are beautiful!).

Anyone who knew Ron, saw his love for all things mechanical - from drag racing at Kil-Kare to his 1955 MG TD. He freely shared his knowledge of auto repair with family and friends...always available for a question or quick oil change (he was adamant about changing oil every 3,000 miles!).

Ron was a life-long learner. He volunteered regularly at the Champaign County Air Museum, working on the B17 restoration project. He loved the new skills he gained while working with so many talented craftsmen. And his learning extended to many other things...most recently the impact of diet on health. He loved a good discussion, on just about any topic.

Please join us in a celebration of his life. Visitation is scheduled for 5pm – 8pm on Monday, November 12. The service is scheduled at 11am on Tuesday, November 13. Both will be held at Adkins Funeral Home, 7055 Dayton Road, Enon, Ohio.
