Marguerite L. Brumfield


Marguerite L. Brumfield, 88, of Springfield died September 9, 2007 in the E.R. of Mercy Medical Center.

She was born October 14, 1918 in Springfield, OH to John and Margaret (Murphy) Powelson. She retired from ITT JABSCO as a switchboard operator after 20 years of service. Marguerite was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and was the director and longtime volunteer of the St. Mary Thrift Center.

She is survived by 2 children and spouse, Marie E. Stevens and Greg and Paulette Brumfield all of Springfield; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister Patricia Leffel, Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Ansel T. in 1987 and a son in law, Roger Stevens, preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bernard Catholic Church with visitation 2 hours prior in the Conroy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Moorefield Township Paramedics.
