Loretta T. Burch


Loretta T. Burch, 87, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 in her residence. She was born May 2, 1921 in Springfield, Ohio a daughter of Joseph and Esther (Knox) Turner.

She retired from W.P.A.F.B. after many years of dedicated service. Mrs. Burch was a sweet and quiet lady and she loved her family dearly.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Rod Burch and Debra Burch-Humphrey both of Springfield; a step brother, Alex Richardson of Urbana; three grandchildren, Gina, Jesse and David, eight great grandchildren, Bobby, King, Tyler, Amandeep, Simran, Trystan, Taysa and Rylee, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a special friend, Lola Moorehead.

She was preceded in death by her husband Springfield Police Chief James H. Burch, a daughter, whom she adored, Kathy L. Burch and a grandson, Bobby W. Humphrey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 4, 2008 in St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 34 W. Pleasant Street. Rev. Ernest C. Brown will be officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
