Kenneth J. Bolender


Kenneth J. Bolender, 59, of Springfield passed away Friday, April 25, 2008 in Hospice of Dayton.

He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 29, 1948, the son of James M. and Rachel (Crowder) Bolender.

Ken retired from Eastern Enterprises as a machinist with over 20 years of service. He was an avid racing fan, belonging to NHRA and DRAW.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and son Robert D. Bolender.

He has left to cherish his memory, one daughter and son in law Kelly and Craig Brown of Troy; one sister Barb Russell of Lebanon; three granddaughters Kristie, Sydney, and Jessica; one great-grandson Ryan; one niece and nephew Tracey and Randy; best friend Ron Woolum.

A celebration of Ken's life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of Dayton or the Springfield Regional Cancer Center.
