Julia A. Banks


Julia A. Banks, 75, of Enon, passed away in her home on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

The daughter of John and Anna (Schulte) Wald, Julia married the love of her life, Robert Banks, on November 25, 1954, and was happily married to him for 53 years until the Lord called her home.

Julia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Julia was a dispatcher for the Enon/Mad River Fire and EMS for 29 years, President on the Enon village zoning board, a volunteer for Enon Elementary School, and the St. Marys Catholic Church Choir Director.

Julia is preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Joan Wald; and three brothers: John, James and Joseph Wald.

She is survived by her husband; their six children (and spouses): Jade M. Banks of Falls Church, VA., Jule A (Kernie) Moore of Davisburg, MI, Joan I. (George) Falldine of Warner Robins, GA., Jana R. Banks of Springfield, Jolyn B. (Michael) Verbillion of Springfield, and Robert C. (Donna) Banks of Jacksonville, FL.; two brothers: Jerry Wald and Justin Wald; six grandchildren: Jessica Banks, Christian Falldine, Megan Verbillion, Davis Falldine, Grace Falldine, and Claire Moore; devoted friend, Paula J. Rich and countless others who will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services for Julia will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 in St. Pauls Catholic Church in Yellow Springs (308 Phillips St.--at Elm-45387) at 10:00 AM with Father Paul Hurst and Father Louis Asobi officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Enon Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, in Adkins Funeral Home (7055 Dayton- Springfield Road, Enon, OH) from 2-4 PM and again from 6-8 PM.

Julias family asks that donations be made in her name to the Enon Fire and EMS (PO Box 395, Enon, OH 45323) and/or Community Mercy Hospice Care (1343 North Fountain St. Springfield, OH 45504.)
