Elizabeth Anne Bixler


Elizabeth Anne Bixler, 77, of Springfield, Ohio peacefully passed from this earthly journey to her new home with the Lord Jesus Christ. She was surrounded with those who loved and will greatly miss her.

Ann was born on January 12, 1931 in Booneville, Mississippi to Cecil and Beatrice (Walden) Hester.

She was a member of First Christian Church and First Baptist Church in earlier years. She was well known as the "movie lady" when she managed the theaters at the Upper Valley Mall, formerly General Cinemas. She was a former member of the Zonta International Business Women's Club. She enjoyed taking her grand and great grandchildren to Vacation Bible School and also square dancing.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Joseph, her husband Donald L., and other cherished family and friends.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Sharon M. (Larry) Barnett, Gary E. (Sheilah) Bixler, eight grandchildren; Christol Cosby (William Dudley), Amy (James) Wright, Miranda Cosby, Kimberly (Aaron) Ward, Michael ( Annesia) Bixler, Jason Cosby, Jody and Christopher Barnett, seventeen great grandchildren; J. Caulin, Conner, Kaytlynn, Jennifer, Gabriel, Abigail, Andrew, Jeremy, Kaleb, Joslyn, Madison, Sheriah, Brenden, Preston, Carson, Christian and Joshua, special friend Carolyn Patton and her children Lee and Nicole.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. A gathering of family and friends will be held for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Lawrenceville Cemetery.
