Dorothy E. Buell-Allen


Dorothy E. (Cork) Buell-Allen, 87, of Jackson, Ohio formerly of Springfield passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008 in Adena Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Bainbridge, Ohio in January 31, 1921, the daughter of Shep and Lelia Shaffer (Smith) Cork.

Dorothy was a retired home health care aide. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Perle M. Buell; three brothers George, Norman, & James Cork. She was a member of the Colorado Ave Baptist Church, Dayton, DAR Home City Council # 27; past president of the PTA; and the Elderly United.

Her survivors include her son and daughter in law Dennis E. & Joetta Buell of Jackson; three grandchildren Joseph M., William D., & Jennifer A. Buell; seven great-grandchildren Kayla, Doug, Kate, Michael, Pete, Joseph, & Aaron.

A celebration of Dorothy's life will be Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home with Pastor Rob Wackerman officiating. Burial to follow in Bainbridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are requested in be given to the Colorado Ave Baptist Church 101 Heaton Dayton, Ohio 45410-1729.
